The Beginning

My first real connection with music began when I was around thirteen.

An older friend taught me how to mix. Almost every afternoon after school became a journey of vinyl, listening, experimenting and learning.

By sixteen, in the mid-1990s, I was already behind a microphone for my first radio show on a local station. The music was mostly international dance hits, but what stayed with me most was the connection with the people listening.

They chose the songs. We played them.

Somewhere between the microphone, the music and the person on the other side, I realised that music could communicate what I could not always explain in words.

At the time, I thought it was the strongest way I had to express what I felt.

Years later, I understood that I was right.

But only partly.

Music was just the beginning.

Beyond Music

At one point, I was asked to create music for trailers.

I said no.

Not because the idea did not interest me, but because I could never see music as something created purely on demand.

When I tried to explain why, I realised that my creative process works in both directions.

I write music to externalise what I feel. But as a song develops, it begins creating images in my mind – scenes, movement, colour, sometimes an entire video before the music is even finished.

That is when I understood that, for me, sound and image were never truly separate.

AI can help me explore, accelerate an idea and open new creative doors. But the intention still has to come from somewhere human.

Creating the visual world around STAY and later The Message made that even clearer.

I was no longer interested in simply adding images to music.

I wanted music, image and emotion to become one complete experience.

The vision was always mine, but it came to life through people who understood the same language, Michalis through the music, and Pantelis through the images that gave those ideas a visual identity.

That is where music stopped being my only language – and creation became the language.

The Universe

Over time, I realised that what I create does not belong to a single category.

Some ideas begin with music. Some with an image. Some with a thought that keeps growing until it finds its own identity.

That is how my universe began to take shape – a place where music, visuals, technology, radio and digital projects influence one another and evolve together.

Within it are songs that found their own visual stories, alongside curated playlists, DJ sets and digital worlds such as ItThis.gr and OnMemories.gr.

Different forms. Different destinations.

But always the same starting point: the need to turn an idea, a feeling or a thought into something that can be heard, seen or experienced.

Not a collection of projects. Different worlds speaking the same creative language.

From here, I do not see one road.

I see many destinations.

Lyvo is taking shape. Eurovision is already part of the journey ahead.

There are new songs, new collaborations and projects already taking shape, some of which will reveal themselves in the months ahead.

And perhaps that is what makes this part of the journey the most exciting.

I do not need to know exactly where every idea will lead before I begin.

I only need to feel that there is something worth exploring. Something worth creating. Something worth sharing.

For me, the next chapter is not one specific goal.

It is the continuation of a journey that remains open, with new people, new technologies, new images and many more musical destinations still waiting ahead.

The journey continues.
